With the button in the called upper part of the scanner, the timing to read
a bar code in the laser line can be operated. The bar code sheet and
Stacking bar code and so on became easy-to-use.- The polished design improved the image of the conventional bar code scanner mainly.
- The scan speed (the scan rate) became twice conventional single line scan model (MS951) and the more comfortable operation became possible.
- The attachment exclusive use desk stand can use as the projection scanner without having a scanner. Also, when having to the hand, with the sensor, it changes to the handheld mode automatically in the cutting.
- The internal IR sensor works a laser beam automatically when the object approaches.
- It is possible to handle easily with the one hand because it is light-weight and it is small.
- The big bar code and the bar code of the left a little position can be read.
- Because it has all controllers, the interface box of the external is unnecessary to the scanner main unit.
- DOS/V*1(PC-AT,PS/2) It connects with the keyboard connector of the personal computer in the connection. There is not special entry software for the scanner connection, being necessary. Of course, usual keyboard, too, can be used. AC adapter is attached for the keyboard connector which the electric current can not take.
- When reading a bar code right, it outputs bar code data + return to have been typed from the keyboard.

The menu sheet can do the setting of scanner feature such as the reading kind. Setting contents and software are preserved in inner Flash ROM.

Also, MS9540 is designed not to be in the keyboard and the combination and the
keyboard and to use.
PS/2 keyboard ID can be published by the setting.
